DJ didn't do full training with the rest of the squad today. He, Brooks and James Lawrence did a separate light session. Carrying a knock from those City cloggers, probably.
Ampadu, Tom Lawrence and Sam Vokes all injured and won't play this week.

Provisional squad includes U21s regulars Liam Cullen and Aaron Lewis, plus Oliver Cooper, Joe Lewis and Kieran Evans.
Brandon Cooper's still returning from injury. Cian Harries, Joe Rodon and Dan James are now too old to qualify iirc.

Fantastic news. Top player and lad. Back in training.
“I’d like to thank the club for extending my contract and for their support during my treatment,” said Evans.
“Swansea City is known as a family club, and the support of my team-mates, coaches and staff has reiterated that belief.
“I would also like to thank all the nurses and staff at the Teenage Cancer Trust’s unit in the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for their tremendous effort, care and support.
“I can’t express enough how much that support means to me.”

|Players working with outside trainers|

You hear a lot about players going out on their own and hiring nutritionists, personal trainers etc. these days. Here's Yan Dhanda working on some bizarre drill with some dude he's hired.
Was it Carvahal who was complaining about stuff like that? Surely the club should be in charge on what training a player does/doesn't do? Or is it ultimately the responsibility of the player to do what they believe is right for themselves and their career (and if that conflicts with the club's thoughts on periodisation/rest & recovery so be it)?
The gym work videos the club puts out are pretty embarrassing but I would have thought it was their prerogative to manage what players put themselves through. Will Maiwayfitness foot the wage bill if Dhanda pulls up with a muscle injury in his next game and can't play for a stretch?

International cup game. Live on the website/facebook/some new app thing. We're already out but never mind.
Mason Jones-Thomas on the bench. He's looked bright from what little I've seen of the u18s recently.

Back in action tonight. Keston Davies returns after his loan to Notts County ended. All the big guns absent, either due to first team suties or maybe sizing up loan moves of their own (Aaron Lewis already departed).
Live on the main site as usual (if the stream doesn't work try a different browser it can be a bit fussy).

massive improvement today, for the first time in weeks we looked dangerous every time we went forward in the first half and it was ridiculously easy! Second half we went five at the back therefore surrendering the stranglehold we had in midfield! Swansea were very poor and in the first 45 our tactics were perfect and i do not really see why we did not carry on that way in the second half as we would have got a pan full had we kept going!Overall we proved first half we are more than a match for most teams in this league and just need to believe in ourselves!!
