If that was the case, it would be Birch or the owners who's to blame for him playing and not Cooper, as many have been claiming.

I agree that PL clubs want their players to play a lot, but I'm unsure if i believe there are clauses attached to force us to do so.
If someone could link me some info on the clauses I may change my opinion.

edit: Yes, I was wrong about last season, but in his career to date, definitely a winger by trade. Potter changed his position basically.

Celina has played on the wing most of his career. Only Graham Potter has played him more in the central role. Every single other manager in his senior career has played him more as a winger.

Man City - 2 apps (2 as winger)
FC Twente - 28 apps (19 as winger)
Ipswich - 38 apps (26 as winger)
Swans (Potter) - 42 apps (8 as winger)
Swans (Cooper) - 30 apps (20 as winger)

As I've said before, I prefer him in the middle too, but it's not as clear cut as people say.
4 out of 5 managers have preferred him on the wing, with Mick McCarthy stating in the press that left wing is definitely, by far his best position.
Are they all wrong? Or do they see something we don't?

That's very true I suppose.
But who on earth is there that would come to us on shit money? It will have to be someone with minimal experience.
Someone Potter-esque please.

I love Rangel too. But what you're saying is to get rid of our inexperienced manager, in order to replace them with an even more inexperienced manager.

It's unclear what people want.
Is it more experience, or is it an untried manager?

If it's the latter, surely they can't complain if it goes wrong?

I agree somewhat, but do think the blame lies with the people who appointed him...

FWIW, I think Coops is a good guy and probably great with young players.

Thing is, as manager of academy sides, or even England World cup winning team, there is no real tactics needed.
I mean, in the WC, you don't know who your next opponent is going to be, so you can only do minimal research on the way they play or what their players are going to do.
Same with academy football. You can't really scout your opposition, as they are usually all unknowns.
Hence, Cooper's job was all about what his players can do and what he wants them to do. He even says this in almost every pre match presser for us. "We will concentrate on ourselves".

It's a viable tactic, but not one that works fully with a squad of mediocre players.

Every manager needs to adapt to the oppostition. I don't think Cooper is good at this. He truly believes in his players and that they can overcome the opposition by playing their own game.
Unfortunately, other teams know exactly how we are going to play and quickly adapt.
This isn't a problem in cup or youth football.

Cooper is going to have to learn this pretty quickly, or maybe get an assistant in who is more tactically aware.

Trev, Leon et al. must have seen Cooper's skills. It's pretty obvious he hadn't wowwed them with his tactical knowledge, so surely they are to blame and not Coops.
Cooper is honest. He says all the time "concentrate on ourselves".

It doesn't look like we will sack him, as we're skint. Anyway, who would we get in? The crap that we were linked with last time was pointless.
Maybe there's a youngster who Cooper could bring in for extra tactical nous?

We were so lucky with Potter last year, yet people weren't happy with him either.

Any ideas who you guys would like to bring in if Cooper left?

Yeah he was on the left wing more than 10 last season too.
Mick McCarthy has said he is clearly better on the left than in the middle.
He has played the majority of his career on the left actually.

I'm not sticking up for Coops, but it's obviously a dilemma which every one of Celina's managers have had to deal with. Most of them preferring him on the left.

IMO, I like Cooper. I really hope he mananges to improve. I can see why many want him out. I don't. Yet.

Exactly. And if everyone has so many questions about Cooper's management and Byers being in the team and tactics and substitutions...
Why the fuk didn't any of you mention it to him at the fans forum?
Pointless exercise groaning on here.

Dhanda has arguably been even shitter than Byers in his chances at starting matches. We don't have the players in midfield to compete.

We were by far the better team today and didn't deserve to lose.

1) Why wouldn't Swansea suit him?
2) If Cooper prefers his loan players, why hasn't he been playing Wilmot and Kalulu?
