Prices seem to have rocketed for next year as a result of Thomas Cook's collapse, or maybe Brexit or both

Incident in Neath Abbey last night
at 16:25 2 Sep 2019

Seems a 58 year old man was attacked early hours of the morning near the Smiths pub Neath Abbey, and has subsequently died of his injuries. I just drove past the pub and it's taped off with a policeman stationed there. Awful news, and my thoughts are with the family.

Flies
at 16:31 15 Aug 2019

Just found dozens of dead flies on my kitchen floor. Some still flying, but very lethargic. Similar been happening in my daughters house 5 miles away.

Very odd! Not seen this before and don't know what it is.

Queues

There were many supporters who couldn't get into the ground because of issues with their season tickets. My mate didn't get in until about 10 minutes before half time.Someone with authority should have just opened the gates and let them in and then sorted out the problem during the week.An utter shambles!

Does anyone know where the pick up parking is at the airport, is it best to use the long or short stay car park? I hate driving around airports trying to guess where to go.

I recently had the misfortune to be diverted via Bristol city centre while on my way to the Airport. What a dump some parts of the city are, much worse than anything in Cardiff or Swansea. I wouldn't like to drive through there during rush hour either.

Garden waste recycling bags

Put my bag out last night and checked this morning after the recycle truck had been around; no sign of the empty bag.Phoned NPT council who basically said tough it's your responsibility to replace, but there's a charge .So, anytime i put my bag out and it get's nicked i'm expected to stump up a tenner.Householders will just take others bags instead of paying, it will be a free for all.An absolute disgrace NPT council

The Ice cream place on the front, Remos, 2 scoops of ice cream and a coke £6.15, spoiling what could be very nice place indeed.

Homeless veterans
at 12:15 29 Apr 2019

A genuine question here. Why are there so many homeless military veterans on our streets these days? I have heard that many are institutionalised and some are traumatised by what they have seen, etc.

I have been told many times by those who have done it that military life gives young people the necessary skills and self discipline to succeed in life, hence national service.

I don't remember many veterans from years ago that ended up homeless and many had seen lot's of action too. It didn't seem to be a problem in the past or was it just not reported ?

Passport confusion
at 13:08 7 Mar 2019

With Brexit happening on 29th March there has been uncertainty over the passport issue. if I can give an update from the passport office. if you have less than 6 months on your passport, you may not be able to enter the countries in the schengen area. The new blue passports will start to be phased in after October, but anyone who has a long time on their passports or who renews before October will have the burgundy passports, and will not be required to renew until these expire, and will therefore be allowed to travel as per normal

Skewen, is now classified as a town rather than a village.Heard this from a good source, but find it strange that nothing has been made public about it. Has anyone else heard this, or is it just a wind up?

Ogmore by sea
at 20:59 14 Jun 2018

A word of caution to anyone who used this beach for walks etc.A few days ago a young mum and toddler were stuck almost to their waists in quicksand.Lifeguards eventually got them out, but one of them said, this is unusual as the area isn't known for quicksand.

It is now, and there were several other patches of loose wet sand near to where the river enters the sea, particularly at low tide. The tide on this beach comes in very quickly indeed and it was a race to get them out.

Many ppl walk their dogs etc, so if anyone does , please take care as it was terrifying to see.
