Football Sin Bin Trial
at 22:47 21 Nov 2018
I listened to an intersting piece on TalkSport this evening where the focus was on refereeing. One of the points discussed was a trial taking place this season that introduces a ten minute sin bin for cases of dissent against referees. The longer term plan is to introduce this from next season for all games at tier seven and below of the football pyramid. The feedback obtained so far from officials, players and coaches is that the strong majority are in favour of full time adoption. However there is absolutely no intention within the FA of pursuing a law change that would see introduction of the same rules for the top of the game; I found this bizarre to say the least as it’s one aspect of the beautiful game that needs to be eliminated. We really could learn from the rugby code in this respect. Dermot Gallagher was on the show and he certainly didn’t come across as a supporter for penalising dissent at Premier League level.

I honestly never thought I would see the day.
Irrespective of whatever happens to him from here it’s a case of well done to everyone who has made this happen, including Wilf himself.
Reading between the lines of what Potter says my perception is that Wilf is bringing positivity to the squad on both the training pitch and on match days. We’ve now gone another step forward by accomplishing some game time.

The best bit of business we did this summer.
It’s not all about goals and he showed other talents today.
Well played lad.

Valencia 0 - 3 Swansea
Where were you? I wasn't fortunate enough to make it out there and didn't even see the game on TV. Stepped off a flight at Heathrow to find us 3-0 up and that moment still gives me goosebumps. I was that gobsmacked that I couldn't even explain the enormity of it to my anti football colleague.
The JDG free kick - absolute class.
Please don't let this descend into the dross of what's happened since then; enough has already been written about that. Instead let's hear your stories.

Recently appeared on tap in my local.
I had previously only tried it once and it was an unchilled bottle at a BBQ so we didn’t really hit it off. However its appearance in the pub meant that I was drawn to try it again and since then it has become my suppage of the heatwave. Beautiful stuff.
I am also noticing it appearing in 660ml bottles, had 6 for £10 this morming.
NHS Pay Rises
at 19:36 21 Mar 2018
About time! If the unions secure the deal then 100,000 staff will instantly earn more than the living wage. This can only work wonders for staff morale and retention as well as attracting new blood into a job sector that is losing employees hand over fist. The rises don’t go right to the top; I hope that there are some tough performance related pay targets for higher NHS management.

Excellent defensive shape
Away from home
Plan B successfully introduced mid game
Executed without two key players (regardless of what you think of them)
Outstanding away fans
One point nearer safety
Post any negative opinions elsewhere.

Fantastic scenes in the city centre this morning, the residents of Swansea and the surrounding area have done themselves proud. Tens of thousands of pounds raised for great causes up and down Wales. Well done to everyone involved, you deserve a lot of credit.

Anyone got a 2ft x 1ft (or thereabouts) SCFC flag they don't want and are willing to sell? The smallest Mr Flag ones are a bit too big.
PM me if so.

The craziest penalty decision you will ever see in your lives.
Tin pot refs in a tin pot league.
BBC News At Ten - Knife Crime

Did you see the size of that blade that first guy was carrying?
It was shades of Croccodile Dundee when he quipped "that's not a knife".
Lives ruined everyday by knife crime.

Are there any PS folk out there with children attached to a swimming club?
My two participated in the Carms & West Wales open today; incidentally the Swansea club had a strong turn out. The junior Cooper's represent Amman Valley SC as that's the pool that they learned to swim in (Llanelli pool was closed for refurb at the time). These open's are very well organised from the point of view of organisation, schedule, use of technology and so on. I've had a good day watching them all from poolside.

I loved Bob's interview on Game Of The Day.
He cares, he wants the best, his heart is in the right place.
Whatever you think of him, rejoice in 3 points tonight and for the remainder of the weekend.
