Is 9 goals and 9 points in 1 week a Swans Record? 09:07 - Apr 10 with 864 viewsA_Fans_Dad

Have the Swans done it before in the past?
Also 9 goals for and only 2 against in 3 games.

One for the stattos out there.
Certainly is a great little run.
I notice the Liberty was responding as well with a much better atmosphere.
The building blocks are in place. If the Yanks dismantle this team for their Hedge Fund in the next window there will be carnage.

This run of 6 wins on the bounce isn't bad 😂 in Tosh' first season, in the old 4th division. Check how close the games are together, playing Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday!!

... And today players complain of tiredness!!

17 Mar 1978 Swansea City v Stockport County 3-1

24 Mar 1978 Reading v Swansea City 1-4

25 Mar 1978 Swansea City v AFC Bournemouth 1-0

27 Mar 1978 Torquay United v Swansea City 2-4

01 Apr 1978 Swansea City v Hartlepool United 8-0

04 Apr 1978 Southport v Swansea City 0-3

Plus they went on and won 2 out of their next 3 games ... Eventually winning 10 out of their last 13 matches and gaining promotion.

Easter 1949 we won 5-2 away at Newport on the Friday, then beat Aldershot 2-1 at home on the Saturday and Newport again 2-1 on the Monday. That's going to be pretty difficult to replicate these days!

Not just 9 goals but 7 different scorers!

James
MVDH
McBurnie
Grimes
Routledge
Roberts
Dyer

We've said for a long time we need goals from mid-field as well as forward ... not it's forwards back four and mid field chipping in (heading in, scrambling in, dead balling in its)

Poll: If we could afford one, which loan players would you like to keep?
