Anscombe not good enough to play for Wales.

Really? It’s only been a week since they beat South Africa.

It was a reference to the Swans season - obviously went over your head.

Anyway, this was a proper test match. Last week was not. I was chuffed with the result last week but they were secondary team selections and the prime purpose was to show off rugby union to the Americans.

Yes, I’m impressed with some of the options we have. I still don’t get why we have to bring on weaker players at 60 mins though. Anscombe for Patchell and A Davies for G Davies, and Turnbull for anyone are ridiculous potentially game losing changes.

Great win tonight though, when you think of who is missing. Back row looks very strong now when you add Jenkins, and Lions Warburton, Falatau, Tipuric.

Cory Hill as well fair play. I thought he was a terrible player and he is really growing as is Beard and Seb Davies. Fingers crossed no injuries for WC next year.

Indeed. The future is looking very bright. We are starting to build some real strength in depth. Exciting times ahead, methinks.

I was also impressed with Ryan Elias. He played on the South African match in DC but I didn't get to watch that one.

All in all, it was a good win but the match itself was a bit long in the tooth for me.

It was exciting running rugby, that's SA and the Argies done over in a week.

Today was a good day for rugby
First the Bokke Englnd spectacular then the Wales resurgence

Very encouraging and we need something to cheer us up sports wise even if it is a game so many on here despise

England were rubbish and the standard of defending in that SA v Eng game was absolutely non existent, Arg v Wal was a lot higher standard match.

didn't see the england one.. do we think Eddie Jones is a dead man walking at this point? Personally I can't stand the sight of him, and the sooner he's off the island the better.

I think the England players have had enough of Jones. Plus regardless of who is in the right, having bust ups with the opposition crowds is unacceptable.
The stuffed shirts of the rfu won't like that.

Back to us now. We aren't as bare in the cupboard as I thought!
Some great attitudes out there from seemingly unknown players. Young wainwright out of position as a replacement flanker got.on with it.
Cory Hill is getting better every time he plays. Plus Gareth Davies should always look to that move that set up north's try more often.
The squad really tried and it paid off

Strength in depth can be an issue for small countries but Wales seem to have choices, having said that Wales still need a strong first XV for the relative strength in depth to be of benefit.
